Theme Park Pitch Draft
Beneath the Stars Theme Park is not
your typical theme park. This theme park opens at 4 PM and closes at 11 AM. The
entrance is through the backdoor of a Barber Shop. Within this Barber shop is
where you start your journey back and time to one of the most lively times in
history, the Roaring Twenties. In this Barbershop you get to change your
appearance to 1920s fashion. Whether you put on a dapper tux or a fancy flapper
dress you will be ready to party all night long. You can even get a haircut
and/or a shave in this barbershop if you so choose. Once you exit the
barbershop you enter out into the beginning of a long Main Street. This street
which lights up as soon as the sun sets is filled with stores, restaurants,
dance halls, exclusive bed and breakfasts, and Speakeasies, some easier to find
than others. There is constantly a live
music playing on the street. Each speakeasy has different styles of music
ranging from the Jazz, Swing, to even some with a more modern take, Electro
Swing. Each restaurant, speakeasy, and dance hall also have different
influences including, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Berlin, and other lively
cities of the 1920s.
One example of a speakeasy is
located underneath what from the outside and main entrance appears to be a
small bakery, which it in fact does sell French pastries. But, towards the back
where there is a small reading area, lies a bookcase. There is a book colored
differently from the rest. If you pull this book, the book case will slide open
and reveal a staircase. Muffled music can be heard once the bookcase opens. If
you walk down the stairs you will see a door. Open the door and you are
transported into a Parisian speakeasy called, Le Miaulement du Chat, which
translates to Cats Meow in French. Within this speakeasy there are specialty
cocktails that are inspired by drinks during the 1920s, as well as a dance
floor. The music is a live elctro-swing band. Swing dancing is highly
encouraged. There is food as well which includes fun 1920s inspired finger
food. There are flappers who do performances periodically as well.
Located on the second floor of
every store and restaurant are rooms. These rooms are intimately styled to be a
place to stay the night until you sober up in the morning if you have been
drinking or if you are just too tired to drive home. The reason why the park
closes at 11 AM is for this reason. Safety is a top priority of the park.
Although none of the clubs/speakeasies are open past 4 AM, stores as well as
bakeries, cafes, and some restaurants are open until park closing at 11AM.
Located at the end of the street is
the 1920s inspired Amusement Park. This includes rides such as, the moon
coaster, Swings, a Carousel, as well as many fun carnival games. The park truly
is dazzling and is inspired by the Luna Park and Coney Island of the 1920s.
